Production Credits: Mastering
I had the pleasure of mastering Brother Cane’s single “If This Means War” from the album Magnolia Medicine. The song marked an exciting chapter in the band’s return after nearly three decades. It also showcased the powerful songwriting and musicianship that made Brother Cane a favorite among rock fans.
Working on “If This Means War” gave me the opportunity to deliver a polished and dynamic master. My goal was to preserve the energy and emotion of the performance. At the same time, I wanted to enhance clarity, punch, and overall impact.
Additionally, the mastering process helped the song translate consistently across streaming services, digital downloads, CD, vinyl, and modern playback systems. This approach ensured listeners could enjoy the music on a wide variety of platforms.
Led by acclaimed songwriter and guitarist Damon Johnson, Brother Cane returned with a collection of outstanding songs.
